Welcome back to my blog post! As you know that we have started our school holidays! 

So in the next couple of weeks I''ll be practising my dribbles. Last Saturday, I went to a practice and we went to teams and me and my brother is in a team together which was fun. We played against the other teams. It was just a practice but it's okay. The score was 12-nil. We had 15 minutes of play. It was fun to fight against each team. When I have the ball, I pretend that no one is around me and I also think of Mamba Mentality. 

I really enjoy playing Basketball!

The second way is to search up if it's all on the news. And the last way is to check is to see if the picture is photoshoped. We created our own fake news. This is just a task, it's fake just putting it out there.

Student Summit 2020

Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to tell you about the Student Summit 2020! 

We had 4 sessions and we had it on an Hangout. But first we had to fill up a form and choose 4 activities to learn from. My choice was.... Mihi Maker by HPS, Stop Motion by STB, Storyboard That by HPS and Scratch Shapes by STB. We had some difficulties because a lot of people were using the internet but it was okay. My favourite one would be probably the Scratch Shapes because it takes lots of coding. I also liked the Storyboard That by HPS because it helps your task not to be boring!

Koru and Kowhaiwhai

Welcome back to my blog post! Sorry for the late post but here is the new one! This blog is about the Koru and the Kowhaiwhai! 

Koru are all around New Zealand. Koru is a Māori word for " loop " It's a spiral shape. Koru is a symbol of a new life, growth, strength and peace. Pongas grow wild. They are found in damp bush areas in Parks, in New Zealand. The Koru shape is most likely found in designs of a Kowhaiwhai pattern. Kowhaiwhai are mostly red, white and black. Kowhaiwhai designs are mostly found in the ceilings of the Māori meeting house. Kowhaiwhai represents the Māori history or the Māori family tree of the tribe.

The Positions/Duties of a Pirate!

Welcome back to my blog, Today I'm going to tell you what we have been doing for our Topic this Term! 

So the theme of this Term is..........Pirate! So in Topic we have been researching about the Positions/Duties of a Pirate! We have to make a Venn Diagram, we had to  put down what positions of a Pirate that is between Land and Sea, if you think that position is both Land and Sea, put it on the Both section. For example the Position, Captain, is both so you put Captain on both. 

If you were a Pirate what Position would you do?

I think I would do the Doctor or the Master Gunner. I want to be a Doctor because I want to save people's lives. And I also want to be a Master Gunner because I just have to prepare all the weapons that the Pirate needs.

Drama Book!

Welcome back! Today I'm going to tell you about this book called " Drama " 

I read this book last year. And it was great! This book is about a girl named " Raina " she joined the Drama club. But she doesn't sing or act, instead she was signed up for being the Costume Manager. She had to figure out how the members could work together, and the ticket sales were down. So she had to do something. 

This book is made by....  Raina Telgemeier! Raina was also the author of the book called " Smile "

Salvation Army Gift!!

Welcome back! Today I'm going to tell you about the gift that the Salvation Army gave me! 

Yesterday, when my little brother was playing Basketball, my Dad saw a bag in front of our gate, so my Dad took it and checked what was in it. He called me and said that this was for me and it was from the Salvation Army. Inside the bag, it was a Beanie and a Shoulder Warmer that was Knitted ! And there was a note, it said "  Dear Celine, We love you attending Hornby Salvation Army. 1 Timothy 4:12. God Bless You. "  I am really thankful for this gift because I could use it for Winter.

Smile Book!

Welcome back to my awesome blog! Today I'm going to tell you about this amazing book that I have read in the School Holidays. 

It's called....Smile! This book is about a girl called " Raina " she was in six grade, one night, when she and her friends were racing, she tripped and broke 2 tooths, she had to go to the Dentist and checked what happened to her teeth, the Dentist told her that one of her tooth went all the way up to her gums. So the Dentist put her to sleep and then when she woke up, she looked at the mirror a saw that her front tooth has a little cast on it. 

That's what I can tell you for now, so you better start reading it! This book is a comic book, this book is also a true story. The author of this book is Raina Telgemeier.

TECH!

Kia Ora!

Welcome back to my amazing blog! Today I am going to tell you about TECH!

Last Friday, at the start of school, we got ready for TECH. We putted the things that we needed for TECH. Then we lined up and went in the bus. When we were at Hornby High School, we went inside and then we waited for our teacher to come and get us. When our teacher came, we followed her to the classroom. Then she said that this was Computer Class. So I went to a seat that has a Computer and turned it on. She said that  we will be making our own calendars, and if we were done, our teacher will print it for us to bring home. I made mine and the calendar that I was making, is for next year. After about 40 minutes later, our teacher said to save it and go to our next class. 

Our next class was Wood Work, we lined up outside the Workshop and we waited for our Workshop teacher. When he came and he told us to put our bags down and go to the table. Then we took a pencil and he gave us a booklet that is about our Health and Safety. After we finished answering our booklet, it was Morning Tea. We played and ate a little bit and then we went back inside. 

We had to just decorate the wood and what design we were going to make, so I used the Coping Saw, the Back Saw and the Drill. First we made our draft, then we made our real copy. Then I designed the wood and I wrote the word " Mamba " because it reminds me of Kobe and Gigi. Then when we were done, our Workshop teacher took a photo of our work and then went back to school.

I just recently watched Robin Hood and it was cool! Robin Hood was Russell Crowe. He is also in the movie Gladiator, Noah, Cinderella Man and more! While we were watching Robin Hood, my Dad told me that he was a New Zealand citizen, and he lived in Wellington and then he went to Australia. I really enjoy watching his movies because in his movies they use swords and arrows. And it's really fun to watch. I hope you start watching them too!

Winter Sports!

Hello Readers, 

Welcome back to make blog! Today I am going share about our Winter Sports this Term! 

Winter Sports is where you pick one sport that you would like to play in the rest of the term. There is Football/Soccer,Rugby, Hockey and Netball!  This term I am playing....Netball! I chose Netball because in the past, I've been playing Hockey, so I wanted to try something new! 

Today we played in Hornby High School, we met our coach and she's pretty awesome! Then we warmed-up and chose our places! We versus the Yaldhurst School and some of them were pretty tall! In the first half, they were in the lead by 2 points, but we got a tie before the second half. It was 2 - 2. Then on the second half we were leading. Then the final scores were 6 - 6. I was glad that it was a tie. And I am proud of myself by trying my best in Netball!

Cipher Wheels!

WALT...Identify what a Cipher Wheel is 

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to be telling you about Cipher Wheels! 

This term we are going to be learning more about....Pirates. We read the History of the Cipher Wheel! Then we created our own Cipher Wheels. Yesterday, we had to find a buddy, my buddy was Denise and then we did codes for each other to solve and to find the Crunchie Bar. Today we just gave some sentences to our buddy to solve! 

Cipher Wheels were used by many people around the world, Cipher Wheels is where you want to give a message to someone and not let anyone else to know about it. You write a message and then choose any letter and number 1 - 24. You don't put in the letter J and Q in your Cipher Wheel. Then you look for the letters in your message and then find the number in the bottom of the letter!

Top 3 Countries That I Would Like To Visit!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about Top 3 Countries that I would like to visit!

The first country I would really love to go is.....USA! I would say in either LA (Los Angeles) or in Chicago because me and my family would love to watch the Lakers or the Chicago Bulls! And I would really love to see the Hollywood sign in LA! 

The second country that I would love to go is....Italy! I would go to Rome! I would visit my grandma there and also I would like to visit the Gladiator and the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican.

The last but not the least is....... Canada! I would go to either Winnipeg or Toronto! I would like to go there because I can see snow! I always dreamed about the snow in Canada! I would love to have a Snowball fight, make Snow Angels and even make a Snowman!

Top 3 NBA Players That I Would Like To Meet!

The third NBA player that I would like to meet is.... Lebron James! I would love to meet him because he is great at Basketball and I enjoy watching his game! I also enjoy watching him on Tuesdays because he celebrates.....Taco Tuesday!!!!! 

The second NBA player I would like to meet is.... Anthony Davis! I would like to meet him because he is also good at playing Basketball and Anthony Davis is also my little brother's favourite Basketball player, he watches Anthony Davis play and how he play Basketball. 

The first NBA player that I would really love to meet is... Michael Jordan! I would really really love to meet him because I am a big fan of him! My Dad tells me about him and how he plays Basketball! That's why my family watched " The Last Dance " And we also collect his shoes!

3 Movies That I Like!

Today I am going to tell you about 3 Movies the I love watching! 

The first Movie is.... Karate Kid! I love this movie because it inspiries me to not give up on anything and keep on trying! The main character is.... Jaden Smith and his trainer is...... Jackie Chan! They are also my favourites! 

My second movie is.... Space Jam! I love this movie because it's about my favourite sport, Basketball! And also Michael Jordan is one of the characters! There is also the Looney Tunes like Bugs Bunny! I really enjoy watching this movie! 

The last but not the least is........ Wonder Woman! I love this movie because the story inspires me to be strong like Wonder Woman. Her real name is Gal Gadot! I am so excited to watch the next movie that is coming out! The movie is Wonder Woman 1984!!!!

The Grand Winner!!!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell about a Basketball Competition with my little brother! 

My Mum made some Crinkles but me and my little brother made a competition. So we decided to make a Basketball Competition! So how it works is, if you get 15 points you won the game! The champion grand prize is..... 40 Crinkles! And the second runner up is....... 15 Crinkles! So we played, then halfway of the game, I tripped and then my little brother tripped on me so he fell on top of me. We got up and I got some scratches on me knee but we kept going on the game. When my little brother reached to 15 points, the game was over! My Dad gave the prizes out while my Mum video the prize giving!
