Orana Wildlife Park Trip

 Hello Readers!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I will be talking about our class trip to the Orana Wildlife park! We were also with Room 5 for this trip! There was a lady called Bethany and she was our teacher for Zoo school.

When we got there, we split into two groups. The groups were Room 6 and Room 5. Us Room 6 went to the Lions first, they had 4 lions. They were 2 girls and 2 boys, they were all cousins. The boys can't grow mains because they had an operation so that they cannot grow mains and so that they can't make breeds. Lions are actually social animals.

Social animals is when they live in groups such as Lions and Wolves. Female Lions do the hunting fo their group and male

Lions has to protect the group from things. Lions can also survive without a group.

We saw lots more animals, but some of them were harbonating.  But the others was so cool to see.

Here are some of the pictures that were taken!

Parts of a Plant

 Hello Readers,

Welcome back to my blog and today I'm going to be talking about the Parts of the Plants!

For Topic this term, we have been learning about Biodiversity. As a part of Biodiversity, we have been learning the foes (pests) in the plants and the friends in the plants. What I mean by that is, that some insects you find in the plants are helpful because they can help the plants grow, like the bees they are helpful because they pollenate the flowers so that the flowers can turn into fruits. We also learnt about some insects that can be pests.

Today we learnt the parts of a plants. The roots helps absorb water which keep is healthy and strong. The Stem abosrbs minerals and water for the leaves to grow. The leaves are ther to help grow fruits by photosyntheisis. And the flowers gets pollinatated by the bees and they will turn to fruits.

Here is a D.L.O of the Parts of a Plant.

Thank you for reading this blog post and have a good day!

Insect Symmetry!

 Kia Orana Readers!

Welcome back to my blog and today I'll be sharing our learning for art.

We have started to learn things about Insect Symmetry. Insect Symmetry is when a Insect has the same patterns. We chose a Insect to draw and we drew patterns in the Insects. We folded the paper in half and drew half of the Insect, then we put it in the window to trace it in the other half. I did a Scorpion because I want to improve my skills in Insects.

Here is my Insect Symmetry Drawing!
