The National Flower Of The Philippines

Namaste Readers,

Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to tell you about the National flower of the Philippines!

The national flower of the Philippines is..... Sampaguita! It's also known as Philippine Jasmine or Arabian Jasmine. The sampaguita flower became popular among the Filipinos because of its simplicity as well as with its scent. But what made this flower really popular among the Filipinos is its significance in Philippines history. The sampaguita flower is currently the country’s national flower.

I never experience yet to smell the sampaguita but my Mum told me that it's a very good smell and soothing. She also told with me that during her childhood, she used to play with it from their garden.

Here are some pictures of the flower!

The History Of The Philippines

Hello Readers,

Welcome back to my blog! Today I decided to read about Philipine History. We are Filipinos so I think it's good to know and learn about our country.

By the way, I was born in the Philippines but I spent more than  five years in Singapore and now living here in New Zealand. Basically, I just lived at the Philippines for about a year and half.

I've learned that Philippines were claimed in the name of Spain in 1521 by Ferdinand Magellan. His a Potuguese explorer sailing for Spain. It's more than 300 years that Philippines was under them. Now, I know why some of the cultures and language of Filipinos are same with Spanish.

I also read about one famous Filipino ,who wrote and potrayed  about the abuses of  the spanish rules. He is Jose Rizal. No wonder he is the National Hero of the Philippines. He was executed in Luneta Park. I always heard my parents talking about that park in the Philippines. Hopefully, I can experience that park when we visit the country.

During spanish time, they also designed the first Philippine flag.
The three star stand for big islands of the Philippines. The color of the flag is white, blue and red. White stands for hope, blue for peace and red for patriotism.

Here is the picture of Philippine flag.

It was $30 for the Adults and for the kids were free because it was the school holidays! We went to the Gondola and then a photographer took some pictures of us in the Gondola. We went up!!!! We took pictures of the view and the view was awesome! When we got to the top, we bought some souvenirs, we were going to the time tunnel but something was wrong so they had closed the time tunnel. We took a lot of pictures outside and it was so windy!!!! After all of the picture taking, we went inside and ate!!! The food was yum! After we ate, we took a little bit of pictures on the top of the building and then we went down! When we were going down, it feels like you are in a big slide!

My Mum's Birthday!!!!

Hello Readers,

Welcome back to my blog post! Today I'm going to tell you about my Mum's birthday yesterday!

In the morning, when I woke up, I greeted my Mum a Happy Birthday to make up her day. While I was getting ready for school, I putted the card that my Dad bought for my Mum in my bag and then we went to school! At lunchtime, I wrote some messages to my Mum in the card!

When it was home time, I saw my parents infront of my little brother's classroom waiting for the both of us. Then we went home. My Dad took a half day from work so he could celebrate my Mum's birthday together. They went to a buffet and ate there for her birthday. They bought a Mars Cheesecake and an Ice Cream Cake! My Mum cooked some fried chicken like the ones from KFC! And we sang her the Happy Birthday song and then we ate! While we were eating me and my Dad grab the gifts for my Mum! And my Mum was surprised from our gifts too!The food was yum!

Here are some of the pictures!
