Hi readers,
For the first ever Summer Learning Journey post I'm going on a voyage on a Hawaiian canoe. I will be telling you what 10 foods I will bring in my trip. Nainoa Thompson invited me and his crew to go on a adventure. Our advendure is going to take 3 weeks! We have to imagine that we are going to voyage for 3 weeks.
Here is a slideshow that shows you what I will bring for the adventure!
Thank you for reading this SLJ blog post and I hope you have an wonderful day!
Kumusta Celine!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mikey and I work with Emma and Gabe on the Summer Learning Journey programme. I'll be commenting on some of your blog posts over the summer break. I'm so pleased to see that you've completed your first activity - well done! :)
I really like the way you've explained what the activity is and why you've done it. That's a great way to introduce your posts because some people who read them might not know what the Summer Learning Journey is. I can tell you've put a lot of thought into what foods would be the best to take. Water is such an important one - I'm glad it's at the top of your list. :)
Remember, there's no fridge on the canoe though so I do wonder how you might keep things like sushi and ice tea cool? Do you have any ideas how you could solve that problem? I'd love to hear them!
Keep up the awesome blogging, Celine. I can't wait to read more of your Summer Learning Journey posts soon.
Bye for now,
Mikey :)
Kamusta Mikey!
DeleteI'm glad your back!
Water is very important to people because they will get dehyhidrated when it's summer time.
I think I will bring an ice pack and cooler to put the stuff that need to be cool.
I hope to see a reply.
Kind Regards,
Celine:)
Kamusta Celine,
DeleteThat's very true. It's so important to keep our bodies hydrated with fresh, clean water. Especially on hot days like we've been having. What do you do in Christchurch on hot sunny days? Are there pools or beaches near where you live?
That's a good idea, Celine. Good thinking. :)
Thank you for your reply and I'll talk to you again soon.
Mā te wā,
Mikey
